Kia Sonet will be a new choice for the customers interested in buying a compact SUV. Last week, the Sonet premiered worldwide, and we must add that its design, features, and specifications have left many silents. The new Sonet, like the Seltos, will be manufactured and sold on world markets in the Kia Motors India Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh.

No one should argue that rivalry is very intense in the compact SUV market. It has some great tracks like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and Mahindra XUV300.

Each newcomer in the compact SUV must have his own USP to mark his own life, and Kia Sonet seems to have more than one of what we have seen up to now.

If you plan already to bring a new Kia Sonet back home, here are some important information you should know concerning the compact SUV.

Kia Sonet Launch And Pricing

In September 2020, Kia Sonet is to be released in India. In the next few days, the reservations for Kia Sonet will open. We predict that the price of Kia Sonet will start at Rs 8 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 13 lakh (former showroom).

Talking about the powertrains, the customers will have as many as three choices — Smartstream 1.2-liter 4-cylinder petrol, 1.0 T-GDi petrol, and 1.5-liter CRDi diesel. By now you must be aware that Kia Sonet shares its engines with Hyundai Venue. There are five transmission choices — 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed AT and 7-speed DCT. The 1.5-liter CRDi diesel motor in the Sonet will have a 6-speed AT option, something that you don’t get in the Venue.

The new Kia Sonet receives a ‘tiger-nose’ logo at the front, similar to other cars from Kia’s stable. According to a high look, this grille has a diamond-knurl design. The LED headlights look sporty with LED DRLs.

The contoured button includes the fog lamps of the projector. With MRF tyres, the 16-inch alloy crystallized wheels of the compact SUV are formed. In the back, you’ll find a reflector strip connecting LED tail lamp. The double muffler blends with the diffuser fin to give a confident look to the back. Eight monotones and three color options for the external tone are available.

You’ll find a heavy dashboard inside the cabin. Nevertheless, the consistency of the item is not compromised. All over, it’s luxury. A 10.25 “HD touchscreen infotainment device is the main attraction. The air vents are vertical and have a chrome-patterned design.

There are automatic climate control controls for central air currents. The new Kia Sonet comes with an instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch screen and multifunction knob. Bose premium 7-spokesman sound with subwoofer, smartphone amplifier, start/stop push button, LED sound mood lighting, smart pure air purifier, and sunroof are among other outstanding features.
