Audi India has been pretty busy now for a year. The Q8 and A8L have already been launched, the RS7 and even the RSQ8 and they are now ready to bring their cheapest SUV into the country – the Q2, as well.
Audi India has been working the second quarter for the India market and car and bike has heard from the distributors that in September the car will reach the showrooms and we can very soon expect the car to be launched. The teaser reveals a portion of the windshield, and ORVM, and a big donation – the tail light. It doesn’t reveal anything about the vehicle.
The second quarter will come to India as a fully constructed unit and Audi will use the government’s provision to import and then sell a total of 2,500 cars without the need for approval. Audi India is targeting a younger public and particularly those who want to buy their first luxury car with the Q2.
Owing to a small footprint compared to SUVs such as Q3, Q5, and even the Q7 and Q8 the Q2 SUV is easily recognizable. However, the Audi DNA is built. On the front, there is a wide grille, flanked by a single frame with LED DRLs and lighting headlights.
It also has a black cover over the trumpet, flat panels, and even the wheel arks, all of which give it a sumptuous and actually muscular appearance. The backrests are special in style and they are square, of course. The backrest.
The Q2 will be equipped with a 2 liter petrol engine on the front of the powertrain which drives the All Space Tiguan. It’s 190 bhp and 320 Nm, we planned. Hopefully, in 6.5 seconds you’ll go from a standstill to 100 kmph with a top speed of 228 kmph.
The Quattro all-wheel-drive system will of course make driving enjoyable and the seven-speed two-wheel drive system will make driving stuff even easier, be this road or the city.
