Mahindra posted information on Scorpio SUV on its website at the beginning of this week. The Mahindra Scorpio BS6 is one of the most successful automatic car manufacturers and is scheduled to launch the new model later this month.
Visually, Mahindra Scorpio’s compliance with BS6 does not look that new, but the business modified drastically and the model list was also rejiggered. Here’s what you need to know about the Scorpio Mahindra 2020.
The 2020 Mahindra Scorpio is available in four models – S5, S7, S9, and S11, along with the 8-trim BS4 edition. The carmaker has limited both the AWD and the automatic drive options to the Scorpio 2020 as a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) only manual diesel engine.
Mahindra Scorpio BS6 Specification
The BS6 Scorpio is externally unaltered and starts with the same seven-slot bumper, large headlamps for projectors, LED lights, chrome-accented circular fog lamps, and hood scoops. SUV is now fitted with 17-inch 5-speed alloy wheels, ORVM with turning markers, chrome added on the tailgate and LED tail lamps with a vertical stack of red glass.
There are four different cabin style choices available in the Mahindra Scorpio. This traditional 7-seater side alternative is fitted with a middle bench seat and two lateral jumpers in the 3rd row. The 9-seat side facing configuration includes a middle row bench and wider, rear side jumping seats, which can be seated by the operator for 4 passengers.
The frontal layout with 7 seats provides the second rank with two captain seats, and the third one is equipped with one bed, while the eight-seat front layout offers the second and third ranges with bench seats.
The Mahindra Scorpio BS6 2020 also has the same characteristics as previously. The top-of-the-line SUV model therefore provides features such as a 7-inch Bluetooth, AUX-IN, USB and the GPS navigation touchscreen. The SUV also provides bogus leather seating, automatic climate control, audio steering, cruise control and rear air conditioner breeze.
With respect to safety, the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio BS6 offers features such as dual airbags, ABS, speed alert, anti-theft alert, dynamic rear parking camera, light and rain sensors, doors locking speed and panic brakes.
Currently, only one engine is available – a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine compliant BS6, which is tuned to pump out 138 bhp with a maximum torque of 320 Nm. The input stage S5 variant for transportation activities is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the rest of the variants are manually transmitted at 6 speeds.
The Scorpio has also been equipped with an optional 6-speed torque converter which has ceased to be available with the BS6 variant.
